Founder's Message

Built by an Educator Dedicated to Every Learner

Elizabeth Lee, Founder of Horizon Leaf Education & Counselling Hub, began her journey as a counsellor with a simple yet deeply held belief: every child deserves the right support to thrive — academically, emotionally, and relationally.

Elizabeth holds a Master’s degree in Counselling from Monash University and has worked extensively with students and families across local and international school settings, as well as within community environments. Her professional experience includes school counselling, family counselling, and collaborative work with parents and educators, supporting children through academic stress, emotional regulation challenges, learning differences, and family transitions.

Through continuous professional development and hands-on practice, Elizabeth began offering home-based tutoring alongside counselling support. It was through this integration that she discovered both her strength and passion for supporting children with special needs, including those with attention difficulties, learning differences, anxiety, and emotional regulation challenges. Rather than allowing children to fall behind, Elizabeth is committed to helping each child progress confidently at their own pace.

Parents have consistently shared meaningful feedback, noting improvements not only in academic performance, but also in socio-emotional wellbeing and family dynamics. With appropriate support, children become more confident, emotionally aware, and motivated, while parents feel better equipped to understand and respond to their child’s needs.

As a bilingual practitioner in English and Mandarin, Elizabeth adopts a holistic, strengths-based approach that integrates counselling principles into learning support. Her therapeutic work is informed by evidence-based practices, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), enabling children and families to build emotional flexibility, resilience, and healthier communication patterns.

Horizon Leaf Education & Counselling Hub was founded to be a safe, collaborative, and empowering space — where children are supported, families are strengthened, and learning becomes a journey of growth rather than pressure.

Elizabeth looks forward to partnering with families to support children and adolescents in moving forward with confidence, capability, and connection.
