Built by an Educator Dedicated to Every Learner
Here’s a more polished, tighter, and slightly more persuasive version—with stronger flow, sharper language, and clearer emphasis on your unique teaching impact:
Elizabeth Lee founded Horizon Leaf Education & Counselling Hub with a simple but powerful belief: every child deserves the right support to thrive—academically, emotionally, and relationally.
Her work goes beyond helping children cope. She enables them to grow with confidence, clarity, and a genuine love for learning.
With a Master’s degree in Counselling from Monash University, Elizabeth is a MOE-registered counsellor, instructor, and schools practitioner. She has worked extensively with students and families across local and international schools, as well as community settings.
Her experience spans school and family counselling, alongside close collaboration with parents and educators. Over time, she intentionally expanded into academic teaching and home-based support—developing a distinctive approach that integrates therapeutic insight with highly personalised teaching strategies.
What sets Elizabeth apart is her ability to identify how each child learns best—and teach accordingly.
Every lesson is carefully tailored to the child’s:
Learning style
Pace and readiness
Emotional needs
Cognitive profile
Rather than relying on standard methods, she:
Breaks down concepts into clear, manageable steps
Adapts teaching styles (visual, auditory, kinesthetic, structured, or exploratory)
Integrates emotional support to reduce anxiety and resistance
Focuses on building strong foundations for lasting understanding
Her lessons are not only effective—they are deeply engaging and emotionally safe.
Students consistently share that:
Lessons “don’t feel draggy” and “pass very quickly”
They often do not want the lesson to end
They feel more willing to try, even when tasks are challenging
Importantly, many students who initially disliked or avoided certain subjects begin to:
Feel more comfortable and less anxious
Develop a sense of familiarity and control
Gradually build confidence and openness toward learning
Over time, subjects that once felt overwhelming or frustrating become manageable—and even enjoyable
Elizabeth’s approach leads to clear and practical improvements, not just in grades—but in how children learn and apply knowledge.
Parents have observed:
Stronger daily application of concepts, beyond memorisation
Improved understanding and retention, especially in foundational skills
Increased confidence and independence
Greater motivation and reduced resistance to learning
For younger learners, the impact can be especially immediate:
Children who were previously unable to read have begun recognising and reading words after just one session, through targeted and responsive teaching
These outcomes reflect a powerful combination of precision in teaching and deep understanding of each child’s needs.
Elizabeth supports children and teenagers across a wide range of areas:

Progresses at their own pace
Builds both competence and confidence
Feels understood rather than pressured
At the same time, parents gain:
Practical, actionable strategies
Greater insight into their child
Confidence in supporting learning and behaviour at home
Elizabeth integrates counselling principles directly into her teaching, drawing from:
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Play-based approaches
Art-based expression
This allows her to address not just what a child learns, but how they experience learning—which is key to long-term success.
Horizon Leaf is more than a service—it is a safe, supportive, and empowering space where:
Learning is personalised and meaningful
Emotional wellbeing is prioritised
Families feel supported and equipped
Children develop both skills and self-belief
Elizabeth works closely with parents to ensure that progress extends beyond lessons into daily life.
Her collaborative approach ensures that both children and parents feel:
Heard
Understood
Equipped with practical strategies
Through her unique integration of counselling and personalised teaching, Elizabeth helps children move:
From frustration → confidence
From avoidance → engagement
From struggle → growth
At Horizon Leaf, learning is no longer a source of stress—it becomes a journey of confidence, connection, and possibility.
